People Before Process; Because Insolvency is Never Just About the Numbers

June 16, 2026

Working in Business Recovery and Insolvency, most clients that come to us are looking for answers to difficult questions. By the time they pick up the phone, they’re often dealing with uncertainty, pressure and decisions that can affect employees, customers, suppliers and their own future.

Learning about the services we offer is easy, they’re all over our website. But those services are delivered by people. People who you might want to know more about. That’s why we’re launching this series.

Over the coming months, we’ll be introducing the individuals who make up BRI. The people you’ll speak to, work with and trust to help guide you through challenging situations.

We’ll be sharing a little about their backgrounds, what brought them into the profession and what they enjoy about helping businesses navigate difficult periods. Because insolvency is never just about the numbers.

When Business Gets Personal, So Do We

The word “insolvency” often brings to mind procedures, legislation and financial reports. While those things are important, they are rarely the first thing we think about when we meet a client.

Our first priority is understanding the people sitting in front of us.

Every business has its own story. Behind every set of accounts is a business owner who has invested time, energy and commitment into building something. There are employees whose livelihoods depend on the business, suppliers who have supported it and customers who rely on it.

That’s why we believe the best outcomes start with listening.

Before we discuss options, we take the time to understand the situation, the challenges being faced and what matters most to the people involved. Only then can we help develop a solution that reflects the realities of that particular business.

Technical expertise matters, but so does empathy, communication and trust. For us, insolvency has always been about more than numbers. It’s about helping people find clarity and a way forward when circumstances become difficult.

Meet Our Team

Throughout this series, we’ll be introducing the people behind BRI, sharing their experiences, insights and perspectives on the work they do every day and their interest outside of work.

We hope these profiles give you a better understanding of who we are, what drives us and the people behind the advice.

Because while every case is different, one thing remains the same: people come first.
