No cockfighting – but chicken was on the menu!
4 October 2016: Business Professionals from the Isle of Wight’s Accounting, Legal, Financial and Business Advisory communities gathered recently for the latest event of BRI’s Island Professionals Lunch Club. It was held at a new venue, The Castle Inn in Newport. The Inn dates from the 16th Century and was the last pub in England to be licensed for Cockfighting.
Our guests at the event enjoyed rather less violent entertainment before lunch was served as Dale Howarth of Jigsaw Sales and Marketing gave a 10 minute talk on, “The one thing you can do for your business that will make a real difference to your success”. This was followed by a two course lunch and lots of opportunity for networking with contacts old and new. The feedback from attendees was extremely positive and we look forward to the next lunch event for the Club on Wednesday 9th November. The talk before lunch will be provided by Jonathan Thornton of PC Consultants on the subject of “Internet fraud and the fake CEO email scam”.
