Peter Windatt and Rebecca Dacre of BRI Business Recovery and Insolvency in Northampton were appointed Joint Liquidators of Kenmark International Limited ("Kenmark") on 8 February 2012.
Ian Cooke, BRI's manager dealing with this case, stated "Kenmark commenced trading in late 2009 and had hoped to become a significant employer within Northamptonshire. However, the problems Kenmark encountered throughout its brief period of trade, which have already been well documented, resulted in trading ceasing and the premises remaining idle for over 12 months. The end of Kenmark crystallises a number of substantial liabilities, notably Corby Borough Council, The Department for Business Innovation and Skills (formerly EMDA) and the landlord who, between them, are owed sums totalling some £1million. As Liquidators, we now have the responsibility of realising such assets as there are and investigating Kenmark's financial affairs and the conduct of its Directors prior to cessation of trade and in the months leading up to liquidation"
