5 April 2019: At BRI Business Recovery and Insolvency, we pride ourselves in providing the right advice first time, every time even though the advice may not be what the recipient wants to receive.
BRI’s Northampton Office are dealing with an insolvent liquidation whereby, prior to our formal engagement, we identified potential transactions to associated parties, which could be deemed antecedent and reversible. As always, we were completely transparent with the company’s director, explaining our concerns.
We were duly appointed liquidators, matters were reviewed and legal opinion obtained, which confirmed we were correct from the outset. A letter was prepared by the solicitor but, before it was sent to the director, he was informed of the legal view and a meeting was arranged to discuss.
The director’s comments were “thank you for letting me know, I was advised from the outset that this may be an issue and I would very much welcome a meeting to discuss matters”.
BRI Business Recovery and Insolvency’s management team have many years’ experience in dealing with insolvency related matters and we believe that honesty is the best policy from the outset.
