18 September 2019: The Canal & River Trust look after and bring to life 2,000 miles of waterways that connects hundreds of wildlife habitats and ensures 2,980 bridges, 1,580 locks and 335 aqueducts are open and ready to use for communities across the UK.
BRI staff members from the Northampton, Milton Keynes, Coventry and Hitchin offices volunteered and spent the day working with the Canal & River Trust.
A good clear up job of the canal walkways and overgrown allotment area was the task in hand and after hours of digging, weeding, sweating and general labour, the area close to Stoke Bruerne is now tidier and the allotment ready for the Canal & River Trust’s plans for use.
Thank you to the Canal & River Trust for having us (and for providing tea, coffee and biscuits!).
