4 October 2017: Business professionals from the Isle of Wight’s accounting, legal, financial and business advisory communities have been enjoying attending BRI’s Island Professionals Lunch Club for more than 4 years. The latest lunch was held recently at its usual venue, The Castle Inn in Newport. Parts of the building date from 1300 and it is said that Charles I used to be a customer, under armed guard, when he was held prisoner at nearby Carisbrooke Castle.
Our guests at the event were educated before lunch was served as Alison Colley of Real Employment Law Advice gave a 10 minute talk on, “How to build a successful business from scratch”. This was followed by a two course meal and lots of opportunity for networking with contacts old and new. The feedback from attendees was extremely positive and we look forward to the next lunch event for the club on Wednesday 8 November 2017. The talk before lunch will be provided by Andrew White of Rouse Ltd on the subject of “How much do I need (in retirement)?”
